It's pretty clear that members of the gaming community need more Goldeneye in their lives. There has been significant demand for the game to be re-released, be it on Xbox Live, Wii Virtual Console, or even in a Source Engine mod.
Well, one determined Wii owner has managed to get the game running on the Virtual Console's Sin & Punishment emulator, and has posted his accomplishment for all to see. Here it is:

What they havnt released it on virtual console? Nintendo dont release one of the most popular games evere on virtual console when the can and all? wtf, i planned on getting that when i got my wii :p
Must be nice to have dual analog controls.
There are so many issues with the rights to Goldeneye that it will be quite a while before we see it on any console.
Consider it a blessing, though. Trust me, playing the game now makes it a lot less fun to remember.
Ive played it with an emulator on my computer... playing with keyboard its still a lot of fun!
I emulate it on my PC (I can't find the original cart anymore), and I use an Xbox 360 controller.
Dual analog is win.
