With Call of Duty 4 leaving a sweet taste in all of our mouths, Activision will certainly be cranking out plenty of future Call of Duty titles. While Treyarch has handled most of the console exclusive Call of Duty titles over the years, Call of Duty: World at War will be heading to PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii sometime this year. In addition, this game had a two-year development period, unlike Call of Duty 3.
World at War will feature new aspects like swimming and expanded aspects like more destructible environments and improved physics and lighting. Enjoy the debut trailer below.

well, it looks cool. Leary is not even the word. I will get a demo before I even think about it.
Flamethrower=new trench gun
COD2/1 will still be th best I bet.
Didn't we say no more WW2 games? Do they not listen on purpose or do they think we like WW2 games?
^ Since 4, COD stopped being a WW2 game...
I like the flamethrower. XD
Why, in God's name, has COD returned to WWII??!!
Probably because it's back to Treyarch and not IW.
Which, on that note, having the IP split between companies is just retarded.
You know what... The CoD series should just have a game that replays the entire war. Which means you have to play it for a time span of 6 or 7 years. Then they will have no excuse to ever come back to WWII, EVER.
Correction. Sour taste.
The Call of Duty games have always showcased some brilliant set-pieces in trailers. This, on the other hand, did not. I think we can safely assume this will fill the same mediocre gap as Big Red One and Finest Hour did.
That being said, I do like the Japanese involvement.
I've always wanted a flamethrower looking this sweet in a game as fun as Call of Duty (1). But I'm going to be torn with this game apparently excluding Soviets...and player-controlled vehicles, by the look of it.
Where's the Battlefield/RedAlert/TeamFortressClassic/STALKER hybrid game I've been waiting for?
Maybe it's not wwII, maybe it's some other crazy war around that time period in the jungle. :^/
