I realized something today while opening some recent acquisitions: there's a lot of packaging that sucks. Blister packs, triple taped games, multi-disc titles with all the discs on the same spindle and one in a paper envelope tucked to the side; the list goes on and on.
In the last century man has invented the Internet, the car, satellites, space exploration, computers, countless pieces of medical equipment, and more. We've cured diseases, explored previously unexplorable areas, and can now communicate with anyone on (or off) this planet within seconds.
Yet packaging still sucks. Go figure.
What's your most hated type of game packaging?
Is there a general type? Or perhaps you've had an ER-ending experience trying to pull your controller out of a blister pack?

I hate blister packs that require the sharpest, most heavy duty shears I can find.
Sometimes I just have to whip out the chainsaw...
Blister packs definately. Whoever came up with that should be dragged out into the street and shot... And then run over by a semi.
My comment is superfluous now. Blister packs should be illegal, plain and simple. Either that or require an attached tool to open them safely and effectively.
Ditto. Whoever invented this dastardly thing should have every item of his or her house blister packed --and have all scissors, knives, or any cutting objects removed from their home.
Blister packs first, then the spindle things, they really piss me off. Especially when there's like 6 discs for the game and they have 3 on the spindle and then 3 in paper packets in the side. GIVE ME MORE CASES DAMMIT!
Yeah, how come you can scratch a game just by looking at it funny, but you can't score the packaging with a diamond tip drill bit?
two words "lost odyssey"
The general consensus is that the blister packs are the worst.
I completely agree.
Blister packs.. But i have so many other reasons why I hate it then anyone else..
If you all only knew.. :P
I also hate those tin cases that they give you with special editions of games. They suck and the feel more tacky than the normal boxes.
The one that bug me the most are the new style of case most PC games are starting to come in (The ones where the CD holder is part of the case). I wish they would still make jewel cases for the CDs since i'm running out of space for all cases, and don't want to have to buy a bunch of jewel cases.
The Turok Evolution game case sucked, but that was because it had the game inside of it.
By now I'm one of the crowd, but blister packs are evil.

Did you try to steal a game at the shop?
Yeah those are pretty effective lol, good thing you can just remove the magnetic sticker and get the entire package with you...
