With the Microsoft information leak still fresh in our minds, one portion of news stands out amongst the others. Along with the Microsoft Avatars, and numerous games mentioned, one of the biggest titles in this leak was Forza 3.
Remember, this is a rumor.
Sources say Forza 3 is going to come packed with over four hundred cars, one hundred tracks, and realistic car deformation. But the biggest shocker has to be Forza 3 is going to ship with two disks instead of one. Along with Lost Odyssey, Forza 3 may be another game to suffer from the storage limitation of the Xbox 360 disk.
While this may not seem important to some, try to imagine Forza 3 with two disks. How does one separate an experience like Forza where the majority of the decisions are up to the player?
Tweak a car, run a race, compete against a friend; there is no forced gameplay structure. Lost Odyssey had a very fixed progression and while switching disks was bad it didn't hamper the experience. Should this Forza 3 rumor be true it is going to be interesting to see how they split the content across two disks.

"Second Lap! Please Insert Forza 3 Disc Two to continue."
wow who needs blu ray huh
Haha
bit of a shame, it does mean I won't purchase Forza 3, I won't forget; this is a rumour, but if it is a rumour that turns out to be true... I can't see purchasing this product. I do not want to get off my sofa to insert disc 2, it sucked for Blue Dragon, it sucked for Lost Odyssey and it'd be impossible to accept from a racing game.
Yep, I agree with KindGalaxy on this one.
You guys are freaking lazy, more than likely (if the rumour is even true) is have a specific genres of racing on disc one and the remainder on two...
Toshiba have in the works a 22gig (I believe) DVD that'll work in standard DVD players... if the comes about in time maybe this whole situation can be avoided.
"Third Lap! Please download Forza 3 The Third Lap DLC to continue."
who fooking cares about multi discs you lazy bastards? no one ever complained when you had to change over to thrid disc in final fantasy 7, you thought it was almost over, but it was just begining. now a game on 5 blu rays would be awesome.
might be like gran turismo 2 for the disc insertion.
but OMG over 400 cars...why isnt anyone talking about that instead, ITS over 400 CARS?! i think i peed a little =D
Some autophiles might do a little more than pee a little at that thought :P
Fittingly enough for this discussion, Gran Turismo 2 had two disks, and it worked fine there. Nobody complained then. Look to that game for an idea of how multiple disks could work for a racing game....
Honestly, Riel, I had no idea you just mentioned GT2 in your post. I swear!
I do not mine switching out dvds
final fantasy was a good game
but this is next gen it is okay to do that on the ps1 the ps2 but when you move on the thought of having a two disc ps3 is either a long game or what the heck did they put in this game to make it so big.
but putting it on two disc has not happened much since the ps1 I have not seen any on the ps2.please correct me if i am wrong. no I like multi disk games. but since i have blu ray I do not need it.
DKR1138 where did you hear about the 22 gig dvd at?
