While I can't recall ever using the news to showcase a new review coming up, I felt like I should do it this once since we're trying something different and otherwise people may not know it exists. (Plus I can break the rules like that.)
For the first time, we've reviewed a game via audio, text, and video all simultaneously. To make things more impressive, the video of the review is a video of someone playing the game using the audio of the review for the game being played! Wrap your mind around that one. It was a several day task spanning multiple continents and accents (Kyle didn't know jambo is Australian) and the final product can be found in the Audiosurf review page, here.
Let us know what you think. Like it? Think it sucked? Want to see more or less like it in the future? Obviously nothing will be as reality-shattering as this (how often can you play a game using the audio of the review for the game being played?) but we can try.
(Also, keep an eye out for a contest involving the audio review and Audiosurf once I figure out possible prizes to use. You guys dig Company of Heroes and/or Pirates of the Burning Sea?)

Self critique: I wasn't enthusiastic enough, very monotone.
Your voice was also a little muffled too, Jambo. But I thought the whole thing was very successful. Great job guys. Kyle didn't know you were an Aussie? lol. Actually, I thought your accent added some class to the whole deal.
The muffling was probably a result of the ungodly long distance.
Fun review. I think you guys definitely could have benefited from a little bit of rehearsal (perhaps you did, no offense on that) or maybe some notes, it definitely sounds like ya both just sorta winged it ;-) And definitely some ENTUSIASM!!! You both sound like you met in a waiting room and started some small talk to pass the time! No offense at all, just bein' honest.
But definitely a good idea, you should definitely do more!
jambo and Kyle can show no enthusiasm at all, unless Kyle's using the phrase "cool beans" which I will never, ever let him live down.
You say that like it was a slip of the tongue, but I'm proud to say that it was no such thing.
I use that sh*t in my everday conversations.
Oh and rtanger, thanks a lot for the honest criticism! I'd like to blame our lack of enthusiasm and coherency on the fact that it was recorded at an ungodly time, but if we end falling victim to them again then it's because I, and I alone, suck.
Keep checking Gamernode for more audio segments!

I want to see concept reviews. The ones in Amiga Power were awsome.
It's hard to understand jambo, like others have said. It's not because he's an Aussie, I think it's because you guys (probably) used the Teamspeak server, and Teamspeak has a low quality codec. And I think more reviews should be done like this. Using Audiosurf and everything.
