God of War: Chains of Olympus gone gold

Category: Sony PSP, Posted: 02/14/2008 at 04:22AM EST by Eddie Inzauto, GN Director

KratosIt's not so often that a really big-time PSP game is released, so the fact that Ready At Dawn has announced the completion of God of War: Chains of Olympus is certainly newsworthy. The game is ready to be slapped onto UMD and will be arriving in stores in just under three weeks.

Those of you who own a PSP, get ready to tell your grandma that you're not coming down for dinner, because this game looks to be one of the best the handheld has to offer. If you don't have a PSP (and I could hardly blame you if that's the case), then you might find it nice to know that the game is rumored to be headed to the PlayStation 2 somewhere down the road. Either way, we all win - unless of course you don't have a PS2, either. (shame on you)

You can bet I'll be grabbing this game right around its March 4th release, indulging in some intense melee action, as only Kratos knows how to deliver. How about you?

(note: Kyle gets all the credit for the grandma/dinner line)

I don't own a PSP. Oh well, it'll eventually be ported to the PS2 with extra content.

Huh? What's that? I didn't see the news post, I'm too busy playing Chains of Olympus.

I might buy this... I'm choosing either this or FF VII Crisis Core... I've got Lost Odyssey for my JRPG phun so... maybe I be seeing the God of War soon.

Meh, DMC fanboi. I never played GOW so if it comes out at 20 bucks, sure. But for me, I got brawl and crisis core to look forward too.
