According to the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine, there's an interesting tidbit regarding the "future" of Mass Effect. While it's granted that sequels are on the way due to the game's success, the whole BioWare being acquired by EA may have clouded up the game's publishing situation.
But according to EGM, an agreement was made between EA/BioWare and Microsoft to make Microsoft the publisher of Mass Effect 2 and 3, while EA and BioWare will be labeled as the game's developers.
EA and Microsoft employ different publishing tactics, so who do you think would handle the game's future better?
Of course, label this as your standard rumor. As of this writing, Microsoft, EA or BioWare have yet to comment about Mass Effect 2, so in the meantime, bask in the awesome gaming glory that is Mass Effect.

On one hand, I'd love Mass Effect 2 and 3 to remain 360 exclusives. On the other, I feel sorry that the PC gamers who loved BioWare before us are missing out.
Solution? EA and Microsoft buy people Xbox 360s to play Mass Effect 2 and 3. Problem solved!
Well, I wouldn't worry too much for the PC gamers. MS isn't shy about releasing its XBox hits on the PC. And why should they be? XBox and Windows are both their platforms. I'd be surprised if we DIDN'T see a 'Games for Windows' version of Mass Effect. What we won't see is a PS3 version.
Ouch!
I'm a 360 gamer, but know this is a big deal to a lot of PS3 gamers who thought they would be getting these on the next round.
i like Brendon's solution. =) A lot. I say we wait and see if this really is the truth.
Well if the first one was as good as i heard, i wouldnt mind picking it up for the box when i get mine.
