Sure, it’s fun to use the Wiimote as a gun when you’re playing Red Steel, but if you must have wondered, "Why doesn’t Nintendo make a real gun controller?" OK, maybe you didn’t ask this question, but many have and to this, Nintendo has seemingly answered the call by creating the Wii Blaster. How do we know this? If you take a quick look at GameStop’s online listing, a device is slated for release for May 1 which is called the "Wii Blaster."
Speculation indicates that the Wii Blaster may be a special housing where a Wiimote or nunchuck can be inserted. With the upcoming Resident Evil 4 game coming this summer and other shooting titles already in the works, the addition of a gun controller is good news for those who want to relive the days of using these types of devices. Duck Hunt, anyone?
