Konami announced this week that New Little King’s Story, a follow up to the popular 2009 Wii title Little King’s Story, will be available for download on the PlayStation Vita this summer. The announcement comes a week before E3 kicks off, where the company will likely have much more in store.
The sequel offers a new storyline, updated graphics, and online features, including downloadable content and a cooperative mode. It also promises to take advantage of the Vita’s touch controls and rear touch pad, which players will use to battle a new villain, The Nightmare, in an attempt to reclaim the kingdom.
This will be the first time the series comes to a handheld system, so it’ll be interesting to see if the new game will receive the same critical acclaim given to its predecessor.
