Another year, another Need For Speed. What are we up to now, 29?
This year’s offering from EA is entitled Pro Street and while it’s not a complete departure from the recent modding and underground styled Need For Speed titles, the art style and track layouts are very reminiscent of the earlier titles in the series.
The game also features a detailed damage model, not seen since 2000’s Need For Speed Porsche Unleahsed, as well as spectacular graphics and fully customizable cars.
The demo (which can be downloaded from FileFront, Xbox Live and the PlayStation Store), consists of 2 races, one speed challenge and one grip race, with 2 cars available to drive, one in each race.
Firstly there is speed challenge, which involves racing from checkpoint to checkpoint at the highest possible speed, with the racer with the highest total checkpoint speed winning. Secondly is grip race, which is your basic circuit race with the only objective being to pass the finish line first.
Once you’ve played the demo, why not hop on the forums and tell us what you think in the Need For Speed Pro Street discussion thread!
Need For Speed Pro Street is set for release on November 14th in the States and November 23rd everywhere else for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii and Nintendo DS.
