South Korea gaming publisher NCsoft released its fiscal financial results for 2007 and reported sales of 330 billion won ($355.1 million) and net profit of 45 billion won ($48.4 million). The year’s net profit was a 20% gain from the previous year.
NCsoft attributed the increased net profit to the "successful" launch of PC MMORPG Tabula Rasa, which earned 5 billion won ($5.4 million), along with continued sales of Lineage and Lineage II, which earned 31.8 billion won ($34.2 million) and 33.8 billion won ($36.4 million) respectively.
Due to the increased net profit, NCsoft upped their estimates for fiscal 2008. Now the company expects to reach an increase between 6-15% in sales (to 350-380 billion won) and an increase between 15-33% in operating profit (to 57-66 billion won).
Lastly, the company mentioned their major releases for 2008, which included MMORPG Aion: Tower of Eternity (which will use the CryENGINE), new casual Korean online games and continued support for newly acquired MMORPG City of Heroes/Villains. Also NCsoft will announce their first console game.
