Continuing the slew of financial reports, Midway released their Q2 2007 financial results today. They reported net revenue of $31.8 million, which is up from $25.9 million during the same period last year. Net loss was $14.3 million, which is down from $31 million during the same period last year.
Midway definitely looked good during the past 3 months, revenue was up and losses were down. In efforts to boost their future earnings, Midway showcased three of their upcoming titles: Stranglehold, Unreal Tournament 3 and BlackSite: Area 51. In addition, Midway is going to continue supporting Nintendo by released several Nintendo games in the future: Cruis’n and Game Party for Wii and Ultimate Mortal Kombat, The Bee Game and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends for DS.
A follow-up conference call revealed that BlackSite: Area 51 will be released on November 5th in the U.S. and October 26th in Europe for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Unfortunately, one of their games hit a delay — The Wheelman, based on the film of the same name starring Vin Diesel. Originally set for release this year, the game was pushed back till the first half of 2008.
