If there was ever a story that seems to be constantly in rumor stage, it would have to be the Xbox 360 price drop. Since last year, and most recently, last week, everyone has been speculating on when it will happen.
Well, according to Microsoft, it ain’t. (Yes, we know there ain’t no word as ain’t.) A recent post by Microsoft Product Management chief, David Hufford, seems to put all of this to rest in an email posted on Gamerscore, a blogsite for Microsoft employee news.
He referred to statements published by Bloomberg as misleading. "The comment…has now been taken way out of context and being reported as if I am signaling a price drop. I was not, I am not…there’s no reason to announce any kind of price drop anytime soon.
Ah, but the operative word here is "soon." We may not see it soon, but it is coming never-the-less, and of course, we’re all hoping it is soon.
