EA announced that Medal of Honor: Airborne will be released on August 28 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Players will be stepping into the shoes of Private First Class Boyd Travers of the 82nd Airborne Division as he fights across Europe. Planned game locations include Italy, France, Holland, and Germany. One of the new aspects of the game is that each level begins with an airborne drop where you can strategically plan where you actually start in each mission. Another new aspect is you can attach modifications to your weapons and they persist throughout the game.
Five campaigns are planned for the game: Operation Husky, Operation Avalanche, Operation Neptune, Operation Market Garden and the finale, Operation Varsity. The game will use the Unreal Engine 3 and is being developed by EA LA.
