If you’re a fan of the much revered collaboration between two of the most influential companies in their respective fields, we’ve got some exciting news.
In an interview with Gamasutra, Marvel’s Justin Lambros (Vice President of the company’s interactive division) revealed his adoration for the series and the possibility of the first game in the series hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Store.
"Yeah, those are among my all time favorites," said Mr. Lambros. "I’m a huge 2D fighting fan… the Marvel Vs. Capcom stuff has a definite close place in my heart, so we definitely wanna see that stuff live on."
While being able to purchase the game via digital distribution would be grand, who wouldn’t prefer to have the two companies cuddle once again for the purpose of developing a third installment in the series?
