The latest entry into Capcom’s legendary fighting series, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, is set to have an online jerk management system.
Fans of online fighting games will be familiar with the sense of defilement that occurs when an opponent quits rather than suffer the dishonour of defeat. For their latest game Capcom have created a rather quaint answer to this problem; track the early-quiting surrender monkeys and pit them against each other.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3‘s online management system will record whenever a player leaves a match early. It will then attempt to match the player with an opponent of a similar quit count in all future online matches.
The equivalent of locking the jerk players in a room and throwing away the key, the system aspires to save the honourable majority the pain, rage and accompanying indignation that occurs when an opponent cheats you of your hard-earned victory by quitting the game early.
