Less than one month following its release, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds will be receiving some costume and play-mode DLC. If that seems way too soon, then at least the first DLC characters are coming at…exactly one month following release.
For 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE and $5 on the PlayStation Network, fighters will be able to pick up a pack on March 1 with six new costumes and a new game type called Shadow Mode. The new costumes come for Ryu, Dante, Chris Redfield, Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man, and none of them appear to be that drastic of a wardrobe change.
But real change is coming! On March 15, Special Edition owners will be able to download Jill Valentine and Shuma Gorath, who will be available at a later date to those without Special Edition access. And that’s not all…
Rumors have begun circulating the net that Doc Ock and Frank West may be the next to join the already giant cast of MvC3. This comes by way of one intrigued gamer who, in scanning through code for the game, discovered two very short mentions of characters named "Frank" and "DrOctopus". While this is no confirmation that these two will be making the DLC cut, it certainly provides cause for speculation.
