In the holiday spirit of giving, Nintendo employees and staff have done its part by contributing over 18,000 pounds of food in their annual company food drive for the needy. The food will be donated to Northwest Harvest, a relief agency located in Seattle, Washington. The generosity of Nintendo will not only be successful in making the lives of the hungry and destitute a little better this thanksgiving, with the food they have collected, but with cash donations amounting to almost $10,000. Nintendo vice president, Perrin Kaplan said, We actually doubled our donation goal this year, and more than doubled what we collected last year. With multiple natural disasters taxing food banks’ resources nationwide and bringing their reserves to an all-time low, we’re just happy that we can be a part of making someone’s holidays a little brighter." Kudos to Mario and Luigi. You guys rock.
