Rock Band has some new content coming down the pipeline for March and the pickings aren’t exactly mind blowing, but not disappointing either. With four song packs in all, and each one being released every week in March, one would think we would be giddy about being able to jam away with friends on these new songs.
Problem is Rock Band promised us total album downloads and as of yet they have not delivered. Instead we are stuck with the same offerings that the Guitar Hero crowd deal with; four songs to a pack.
To me the biggest selling point of Rock Band, the one part that really distinguished it from Guitar Hero, was the promise of total album downloads. It was the one feature which sold me on the game, excluding the awesome multiplayer experience with friends. So far Rock Band has not followed through on this promise. It is missing out on enormous potential.
