If you’ve ever had the honor (or misfortune) to view the Fourth of July Nathan’s hot dog eating competition on ESPN, no doubt you are very familiar with the likes of super stars such as Takeru Kobayashi and Joey Chestnut and their gastronomical feats of gluttony.
We know it’s hard to wait a whole year to see the greats compete in this annual event but never fear, Game publisher Mastiff has the rights to make a game based upon the hottest new "sport" — Major League Eating.
The press release says that Major League Eating: The Game, will present the "world’s greatest gurgitory athletes" who will engage in "burps, belches, and mustard gas" to reign supreme.
Bill Swartz of Mastiff said, "Major League Eaters aren’t just elite athletes…they are the people who built America. Or at least the competitive eating part of America. And I am deeply honored that the International Federation of Competitive Eating and Major League Eating chose Mastiff as their exclusive videogame partner."
George Shea of Major League Eating gushed, "We knew this sport would lend itself very well to an interactive format. Mastiff has the stomach and the sense of humor to pull this off."
