SEGA held a press event today where they revealed some upcoming games. In addition to Condemned 2: Bloodsport, SEGA will be publishing the next major game from Gas Powered Games (Dungeon Siege franchise, Supreme Commander). No other details of the game have been made, other than that it’s a RPG. It’s unconfirmed if this game is either the unannounced PC game or unannounced console game they’ve hinted at with a list of job openings three weeks ago.
SEGA also announced that their upcoming PC sci-fi RTS game Universe at War: Earth Assault with developer Petroglyph will also be heading to the Xbox 360. The PC game is set for release this fall while the 360 version will be out in early 2008. This game is the first game in an expected series titled the Universe at War series. Petroglyph was formed in April 2003 from a group of former Westwood Studios employees; Westwood is famous for the C&C game series.
SEGA’s third game announced involves a port of their 2004 arcade light gun game Ghost Squad for the Wii. The game will be released this fall and will include four-player multiplayer. Ghost Squad is the first in a planned series and a sequel titled Ghost Squad Evolution will be out this fall.
Finally, SEGA will be publishing a game based on the animated flash cartoon/TV series Happy Tree Friends. The game will be released this fall for PC and through Xbox Live Arcade for the 360. Stainless Games is handling the game’s development. In the past, Stainless Games developed the PC driving/action series Carmageddon.
