Suda 51 is known for his absolutely outrageous games, the latest being Shadows of the Damned where he teamed up with Resident Evil mastermind, Shinji Mikami. Now, he’s back with a trailer for Lollipop Chainsaw, a game where you play a cheerleader who kills zombies with her chainsaw.
Teaming up with Hollywood writer James Gunn, Suda 51 is bringing back all of his witty and gorey charm. And thanks to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, it’s coming to North America.
Lollipop Chainsaw is about a girl who is caught in the middle of a zombie outbreak at San Romero High School. Thankfully, she just so happens to come from a family of zombie killers. With her trusty chainsaw and sidekick, the disembodied head of her boyfriend, she sets out on a zombie killing spree on none other than her 18th birthday.
Lollipop Chainsaw is said to be the spiritual successor to Suda 51’s No More Heroes series.
