It’s funny how some rumors refuse to die. One of the main ones circulating over the internet, forever it seems, is the one regarding Metal Gear Solid 4 not being exclusive to the PS3 and thus, Konami also doing a Xbox 360 version.
The latest appearance of this story resurfaced again but was quickly put to rest by Konami. They flatly stated that there wouldn’t be MGS4 coming out for the 360.
According to a statement from Konami, "For the record, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is a PlayStation 3 exclusive and there are no plans to develop an Xbox 360 version of the game."
The word "exclusive" is sometimes misunderstood as being a substitute for "never," which isn’t always the case with high profile games. We’ll just all have to wait it out to see if Konami reconsiders the exclusivity of the PS3 title at a later time.
