Kazuo Hirai, the new president of Sony Computer Entertainment, has promised the public that there will be 380 PS3 games released by March 2008. <faint>
Before you jump out of your seat screaming "Liar!"; the 380 games will consist of 200 retail titles as well as 180 PSN (Playstation Network) titles. (Dang. I knew there was a catch. — ed.)
Hirai said to Japanese newspaper Nikkei Business Daily that they will have to release at least 7 PS3 games a week to meet their goal, which sounds doubtful. Currently, the PS3 has a total of 110 titles, 60 retail games and 50 PSN games.
Hirai also said that Sony will begin to work more closely with video game publishers in order to accomplish their quota.
