Ever look down in the middle of a marathon gaming night at your controller and think "God, why does my controller have to be white (or black)? I would be so much happier if only I had a powder pink controller"?
Me neither.
But the only variety in terms of aesthetics Microsoft has given us thus far is the black elite and the green Halo edition controllers, both relatively recent additions.
Now Microsoft is taking after their arch nemesis, Apple, by offering a little "flare" to their peripherals. This time, they can pretend they came up with it first, because there’s no Apple to compete with in gaming.
Gamestop has officially listed pink and blue controllers on their website. The release date is October 9th, so you’re going to have to wait. I know, a pink controller makes me want to drop everything and go to the mall too. The price will be the same as always, $49.99.
It’s not like changing controller colors is going to spike sales, but it will be nice to have some sort of choice. You can bank on me being first in line to get a pink controller on the 9th, in attempt to make pink the new manly color in town. Who’s with me!?
