Infinity Ward is planning something for next week according to an official post on its forums. As your standard tease goes, an announcement is expected for April 28 and the post alludes to a few historic events that took place on that day. Rumors are surely running rampant and the biggest one is the announcement for Call of Duty 4.
Back some months ago, it was reported that development on future Call of Duty titles would be split between Infinity Ward and Treyarch and will switch-off between PC and consoles and just consoles. This plan apparently doesn’t include the various spin-off, mini-expansions like Big Red One, Finest Hour, or Roads to Victory. The original Call of Duty was developed by Infinity Ward for PC, Call of Duty 2 was developed by Infinity Ward for PC, 360, Mac and mobiles, but Call of Duty 3 was developed by Treyarch for Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, and Wii.
