There was a time when actual humans, not CGI, fueled the action in game cutscenes. However, for the past few years, live-action video scenes have been pushed away like dirty laundry.
EA is not abandoning its video roots–because back in August, they announced that actor Joe Kucan would reprise his role as Brotherhood of Nod Kane for the upcoming Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Today, the mega-publisher announced that a few more Hollywood talents will lend their bodies and voices to the RTS sequel.
Josh Halloway (Lost’s Sawyer), Billy Dee Williams (Star Wars‘ Lando), Michael Ironside (Splinter Cell‘s Sam Fisher) and Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica’s Number Six).
EA will also employ real-world newscasters to deliver the news reports in the game.
