EA and Namco-Bandai announced today that the much anticipated hybrid of first person shooter and hack n’ slash fun, Hellgate: London, will be released in North America on Halloween and on November 2 in Europe.
"We wanted to hit the sweet-spot for release in terms of the development schedule and delivering the highest-quality game to our players," stated Bill Roper, former Vice President of Blizzard before parting ways with the company, and CEO of Flagship Studios. "Halloween was the perfect fit as it ensures that Hellgate: London will have an appropriate amount of beta testing, while also being an incredibly fun time to unleash the game."
For a new franchise coming from a fairly unknown new development house to the uninitiated, releasing the game slightly before the holiday rush seems like an awfully great idea on both EA and Namco’s part to ensure that the game isn’t heavily overlooked.
