It was inevitable, but the release date Darksiders II has been pushed back from June to August 2012.
The news comes months after the announcement that THQ cut staff positions due to its future absence in the kid-licensed game business. THQ claims that this push will ensure the quality of the game and promises that no content is being cut, nor does this push have anything to do with the release of the Wii U later this year.
With THQ leaving the kid-licensed game biz, it’ll be nice to see a focus on franchises like Darksiders and Saints Row. That extra month to clean up Darksiders II might be exactly what the game needs.
