Level 99 Halo fanboys everywhere rejoice! The Halo 3 themed Xbox 360 is set to launch at retail outlets tomorrow, just over a week prior to the release of Halo 3.
The green and gold (and ugly) console will come equipped with a 20GB hard drive, a matching green and gold wireless controller and headset, a play-and-charge kit, and a $400 price tag.
This 360 model marks the culmination of a massive marketing expedition by Microsoft to hype their golden paycheck and expected "killer app," Halo 3, which would sell through the roof even if it was a copy of Pong in Spartan green packaging.
Do yourself a favor and don’t buy this thing. The original Premium 360 has the same specs (minus the play-and-charge kit) for $50 less, and the 360 Elite costs $50 more for 100GB of added storage.
