It’s a good thing that some game developers know how to say "no."
It turns out that the action playback recording feature, Saved Films, was almost taken out because someone higher in the food chain didn’t think it would be of any use.
According to Bob Glessner, the tools programmer for Halo 3, a higher up said, "No one will use screen shots, cut it."
I guess we can all thank our lucky stars that programming games is still done by those who know what they’re doing and not by pencil pushers and bean counters…so far.
