Well, it was at least. The listing was removed, presumably at Bungie or Microsoft’s request.
According to Kotaku, the auction finished at $123. That’s not too shabby for a game that’s going to be available at normal price by September 25th (2 weeks from now) anyway. Whether or not the transaction will still be occuring, despite the listing removal, there’s a gamer somewhere totally obsessed with finishing the game before everybody else. The cost of bragging rights…
As we advance toward the release of the game, the hype for Halo 3 is almost physically tangible. I half-expect Master Chief to kick down my door and assault rifle my family. Attempting to exploit the hype with a stolen or review copy of the game is completely understandable.
