Wow. The latest episode of GTTV (link below) features a lot of footage from the upcoming God of War 3, and it is incredible. In a completely objective way, it’s incredible.
Much of the footage shows Kratos fighting and climbing on some titans, like Gaia and Cronos, and really shows off what Sony Santa Monica has done to not only expand on ideas from the PS2 prequels of the game, but to push the limits of how much memory the PS3 is able to handle. The scale is appropriately epic, and the combat system looks beefed up even beyond the already robust combat from God of War 2.
The most interesting part of the episode is towards the end when Geoff Keighley (that lucky SOB) reveals that towards the end of the game, there is some jaw-dropping, "twisted" moment that will apparently blow everyone away.
God of War 3 can’t come out too soon, but it actually will come out on March 16th in the U.S. exclusively on the PS3.
