The World Cup fever is spreading like wildfire with the 2006 FIFA World Cup just months away, and already the gaming industry is looking to score some more cash. Believe it or not, Microsoft has announced that the Xbox and Xbox360 have been named the official game consoles of FIFA 2006. In addition, Addidas and Electronic Arts are teaming up with Microsoft and FIFA to release the World Cup Xbox360. The limited edition bundle comes with everything you™d expect from the 360™s premium bundle, such as a hard drive, HD cables, and a controller, plus some extras. The biggest one, of course, is 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany, the official FIFA game by EA Sports. The other additions include an official Japan blue bandana, and a Japan blue faceplate for the 360 consoles. FIFA fans in Japan should act fast, as only 10,000 units will be shipped. Additionally, there™s no official price on the console, allowing retailers to markup prices as much as they want. The FIFA bundle certainly won™t come cheap, but FIFA fans looking for an Xbox360 will have to think twice before passing this one up.
