The two new Halo 2 maps are now available for download. Desolation and Tombstone will run you $4 — no Microsoft Points here, folks. Since Halo 2 is an original Xbox game, you won’t be able to use those handy little points to pick up this content; you’ll need an actual credit card (or some equivalent).
The game’s playlist will soon be updated to make use of these two new maps, meaning two things: you’ll need to buy the maps in order to play all of the playlists and rankings will be reset to coincide with the playlist update. All of that hard work — all for naught. That’s a shame.
This content should give Halo fans plenty to chew on for the next month, at which time the Halo 3 beta will be unleashed upon the public.
If you need some help figuring out what to do with a credit card on Live, Major Nelson has some tips for you.
