Game of Thrones

The immensely popular Game of Thrones is hitting the videogame world next week, and GamerNode is giving Cyanide Studio and Atlus’ RPG away to make fans’ celebrations even sweeter!

Game Of Thrones, the new roleplaying video game based on the popular HBO TV series and internationally bestselling A Song of Ice and Fire book series, is coming to Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on May 15. Featuring many familiar locations from the books and likenesses from the TV series, Game of Thrones also delves into a new storyline for fans to discover while immersed in 30-plus hours of play. The game can be preordered now with a limited edition hardbound art book, Game of Thrones: Visuals from the RPG, right here.

Or… you can leave a comment below and earn yourself a chance to WIN a copy of both the game (on your platform of choice) and the art book. It’s that easy.     Well, I did it. I made my throne….and it nearly collapsed! I didn’t even have that many games on it either, as 90% of my mini collection of sorts is at another house, not the one I’m in right now (as we just moved in and most of our stuff isn’t at the new house yet). I took 3 pictures, 1 of the throne itself (which is pretty unimpressive I guess haha), the games themselves on it, and me atop it. They are all here: http://imgur.com/a/ri3Ki

    It was a lot of fun to make…..but pretty unimpressive once I got on top of it (with some difficulty too, as I put them in order from biggest to largest size-wise, so it’s a bit hard to sit atop a N64 cartridge. :D) really. Y’know….it’d be nice to have the actual Game of Thrones game. Then I would have a REAL “game of thrones” haha.

    The games/items I had on my throne were:

    -Burnout 3
    -Metal Slug 4 and 5
    -Mercenaries
    -Shadow the Hedgehog (not visible really)
    -A mousepad
    -A Batman notebook
    -Blinx 2
    -Sid Meier’s Pirates
    -Ultimate Spider-Man
    I-ndigo Prophecy (got this recently, love it so far)
    -Spore
    -Blazblue: Calamity Trigger
    -Hexen 64 boxed (got this like, a day ago, haven’t even played it yet!)
    -Sims 2 Pets
    -Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team (one of my favorite if not my favorite DS game)
    -Pokemon Black
    -The fancy plastic case that came with Big Bang Mini, has some late 90’s CD-ROM of “Chutes and Ladders” (from a cereal box thing I think) inside it, along with Star Wars Battlefront II and Lego Star Wars II
    -A Rome: Total War demo disc sleeve with some weird ATi Half-Life promo CD in it, says it has Counterstrike, Team Fortress Classic, and Half-Life: Uplink on it….though when I installed it a few years ago all I could find was CS. Still, not bad! :)
    -Walt Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour (Game Boy Color) instruction manual (loved the game as a kid, but lost the game and always had the manual to insult me :0)
    -Pokemon Black DSi case, has my good ol’ Game Boy Color (with Kirby Tilt N’ Tumble inside) crammed as hard as I could inside
    -Perfect Dark
    -Banjo Kazooie
    -…..and topping it off is the granddaddy of them all, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time! YEAH!

    So yeah, thank you so much for the great giveaway! I had a ton of fun making my “game of thrones” and want to win the actual game itself that badly that I went ahead and made a throne, though it may not have been the best, it contained lots of great memories inside. Really do hope I win but good luck to everyone else! ;)

      Oh, forgot to mention I had my Pikachu N64 controller and Halo Xbox controllers hanging around my throne! Sadly the Pikachu controller’s joystick was badly twisted so I rarely use it anymore, however it’s an awesome keepsake of all the years spent using it as a child with my friends (and family sometimes). :D

    I assumed there would be more hype surrounding this game since its coming out soon. I havent heard much about it. But id like to play it no doubt.

    Art book!? Gimme! I have yet to experience the books or the T.V. series because I don’t have HBO and my still awaiting my Kindle’s triumphant return after being involved in an accident involving a chair, a clumsy me, and gravity.

    Sitting on that chair was painful! But it was fun. My brother and I had fun setting it all up. For the one where i’m sitting on top of the chest of drawers, thats my collectible showcase, have the Infamous, Uncharted and The Old Republic statues up there with a bunch of other stuff like the TOR collectors box and the helghast helmet.
    Other than the fact that it looks like i’m taking a dump on my throne of games (hey, I am the king, I can do what I like!) I’m pleased with how these came out.
    Im a pc gaming master race member so I’d have to go with steam! (Ironically the only pc game shown in my pictures is the Space Marine Collectors :P)
