Do you have a girlfriend, boyfriend, wife or husband who is a tech head, and you never can figure out what to get them for their birthday? Your worries are over. You can get them a USB flash drive. Not just any flash drive, we™re talking about *serious* flash drive talk here. According to ExtremeTech, White Lake, manufacturers of memory modules, has announced its version of the money is no object USB device. The extravagant drive will be unveiled at the CeBit industry show in Germany. What™s so special about this particular USB drive? Try a price tag of $3,500 on for size. But wait, there™s more. You can get this device in configurations of 128, 256, 512 and 1024MB sizes. If we were you, we™d go for the 1mb drive. The drive will be made of 14-carat gold and has five polished diamonds encrusted into the case. Makes you want to buy two of them, doesn™t it? Rob van Berkom, owner of White Lake said, "This product will open new markets for us. We have sold huge amounts of personalized USB stick with logos over the past year. Our customers used them as a give-away. Some of them asked us for a more exclusive product line. This stick meets their demand, so we expect to sell quite a few of them." Alright, not all of us can afford the $3.5K price tag, but not to worry, there is a stripped down model too. For a mere $2800, you can get a version in 18 carat solid gold, without diamonds. All we can say is that you™d better have a nice long lanyard attached to this baby when you use it.
