With the just-released Final Fantasy XIII being voraciously consumed in Japan, Square Enix has lost no momentum in pushing ahead to reveal details about their next project, Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
In an interview with a Japanese video gaming magazine, director Tetsuya Nomura touted his latest project as a graphical triumph, with in-game graphics refined so much as to have no difference with pre-rendered CGI. As nearly every prior FF title has been lauded for their graphical prowess, the next iteration is expected to fare just as admirably.
Nomura continues on to explain that Versus will be a darker Final Fantasy, akin to classics such as FFVII and FFVIII. With many fans clamoring for a return to a more dramatic Final Fantasy world, it looks like Versus will be able to finally provide the necessary fix.
