It’s been over three years since Final Fantasy Type-0 changed platforms from cell phones to the PSP, but development on the title is finally nearing completion.
Director Hajime Tabata has revealed on the game’s development blog that the only steps left to address are tuning and debugging. He then stated that more content was added because of the lengthy development period.
Tabata also cleared up issues regarding how long it has taken to finish development on Final Fantasy Type-0. The development team spent about a year focusing mainly on The 3rd Birthday, so the actual length of development time has been misconstrued a bit.
The game will be playable for the first time tomorrow at an Odaiba event in Japan. The demo will only last about 15 minutes and will feature a lower difficulty level. In addition, players will have access to seven different characters.
Final Fantasy Type-0 is expected to come out this fall in Japan. A North American release hasn’t been revealed yet, but hopefully Square Enix will announce something by the end of the year.
