ESA releases charity game bundle pack

esaIf you’re in the spirit of giving but are also a little bit of a cynical and jaded gamer, then the Entertainment Software Association has something to bail you out. Released today, you can pick up a charity Xbox 360 game pack and all the proceeds will be donated to the ESA Foundation, which supports plenty of charities.

The game pack includes Open Season, Fuzion Frenzy and Disney’s Cars and retails for $29.99. Even if you don’t want the games, it’s all for charity! The ESA is expecting that proceeds will reach $2 million.

Supported charities include Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Delinquency Prevention Initiative – Year Three, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and many others.

Michael D. Gallagher, CEO of the ESA, thanked Disney, THQ, Ubisoft, Sony, Pixar and Microsoft for their contributions. "Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the game pack’s lead publisher, Microsoft. Their willingness to spearhead this effort is a model for our entire industry. The money raised will help advance the health, safety and welfare of America’s youth.

The ESA Charity Game pack is the culmination of the work and efforts of various partners that demonstrated their commitment to this project by donating services free of charge and/or waiving associated monetary fees and royalties"
