Vince Zampanella of Respawn Entertainment took to the stage during Microsoft’s E3 press conference to reveal Titanfall, an upcoming first-person shooter that will be available for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
A gameplay demo was shown in which humans and mechs fought alongside each other in a ravaged town. The game appears to retain the fast-paced nature of the Call of Duty series, but players will have a lot more verticality with things like wall-jumping. In addition, players will be able to hop into mechs in order to take down enemies in style.
Titanfall will attempt to blend single-player campaign moments in a multiplayer setting. The gameplay demo included experience point indicators and other trademarks of online shooters.
Titanfall was announced as an Xbox One “exclusive,” but Xbox Wire has confirmed Xbox 360 and PC releases as well. The game will come out in Spring 2014.
