The rumours finally payed off as Nintendo, yesterday during the E3 2010 Expo, revealed their new handheld console, the Nintendo 3DS.
Here’s what we’ve been told so far. The device features dual screens, the new 3.5 inch widescreen sitting above the regular 2D display. Also new is that of the analogue stick, which looks quite handy. The 3DS also includes a 3D camera, a motion sensor, and a gyro sensor.
It’s also been implied that it will be capable of watching 3D movies, so keep an eye out for any films Nintendo may show at E3 this week.
3DS games include a new Nintendogs (and cats!) game, a 3D version of DJ Hero, and The Sims 3.
Portable gaming without the need for special glasses? It’s definitely a hot topic right now, though there’s still no talk of a price or release date. Watch this space.
