Square Enix has officially announced that the release of its highly anticipated monster-masher Dungeon Siege III, will be pushed back from May 27 to June 17 in all PAL territories.
With the press release disclosing no clear details as to why the delay has occurred, it seems fans and those with existing pre-orders will simply have to wait a little bit longer for their hack-and-slash goodness.
The game — which has already gained a significant amount of hype and numerous pre-order sales — will allow the player to choose their character from four different Legionnaires, each with their own skills and play-style.
Like its predecessors the game will be set in the kingdom of Ehb and will contain updated versions of the franchise’s classic loot and character leveling systems.
Additionally the game will see several innovations, not only being the first in the franchise to include four player co-op, but also being the first in the franchise to appear on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles.
