Eddie reviews Dogs of War, from Spaghetti Western Games and CMON, designed by Paolo Mori.
This worker-placement strategy war game sees 3-5 players competing in 12 battles between 6 noble factions throughout the game, benefitting from each show of support, each level of favor, and each victorious mercenary endeavor.
Every player’s captain uses his or her unique skill, along with hired soldiers, tactics cards, cunning and guile, to swing the tide of battle and emerge with the most victory points by supporting only the victors (who get the spoils).
It’s strategic and social and very dynamic. We really dig it.
