Blizzard’s Diablo franchise has always been huge on the PC gaming front. Now the newest entry in the series may be coming to consoles as well.
Although a console version has not been confirmed at this point, lead designer Josh Mosqueira revealed at Gamescom that Blizzard "is very, very serious about bringing the Diablo III experience to the console."
Mosqueira also supported earlier reports that Blizzard is looking for a team to handle the console port of the upcoming action RPG.
"Today, we’re trying to build the best console team at Blizzard," he said. "We’re looking for programmers, designers, artists who think their dream job would be to bring Diablo to the console. Trust me, it is a dream job."
A console port of Diablo III could still be a long way out considering the PC version still has no set release date. An open beta will be coming by the end of September though.
