Producer Hiroshi Kobayashi released some major details regarding Devil May Cry 4 in an interview published in Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu. The crucial focal point that Kobayashi mentioned was the fact that Dante, the series’ protagonist, may appear on Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Announced at E3 2005, Devil May Cry 4 was assumed to be a Playstation 3 exclusive title, since the entire series is restricted to Sony products.
Kobayashi believes that limiting the series to just one console has been a hefty draw-back. Surely Devil May Cry 4 will still see a release on the Playstation 3, although Kobayashi is, even now, unaware of the full potential power of the system. He mentioned that he expects to achieve the same look and feel of the trailer shown at last year’s E3. On the subject of controls, he added that they will be adjusted to allow performing the series’ fundamental acrobatic moves in combat easier for everyone. Kobayashi stated nothing on the topic of how the controls will be adjusted to make use of the Wii’s controller.
