Dead Island is just six days away, and Deep Silver is looking to get the world excited for the zombie-killing RPG with today’s unveiling of the game’s official launch trailer.
The trailer shows the South Pacific paradise island of Banoi as it is enveloped in the chaos of a complete zombie outbreak. With the island cut off from the rest of the world via quarantine, it’s up to four survivors that are immune to the disease, Purna, Logan, Xian Mei, and Sam B, to save those still alive and find a way off the now hellish locale.
As Sam B says in the trailer, emphasizing the group’s camaraderie and game’s four-player co-op, "We a crew. We hang together, or we f***ed."
The survivors’ struggles aside, the rest of the trailer provides plenty of zombie-slaughtering gore to appease any fan of the genre. To see said gore and everything else that comes with the launch trailer, simply scroll below.
Dead Island is rated M for Mature and will release on September 6 for the Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3.
