The end of days is on the horizon once again as THQ announced the 2012 release for Darksiders II. Danny Bilson, executive vice president of Core Games has stated that the publisher has "taken the best parts of Darksiders and improved on them with a host of new mechanics and features", promising that we "will see great things from this epic game."
Darksiders II is the sequel to the 2010 action/adventure starring War, one of the horsemen of the apocalypse wrongly accused of causing the end of days. The game follows Death as he seeks to redeem War and save mankind. Building upon the chaotic setting of the original, War discovers that the earthly Apocalypse is the least of his worries and that all of Creation is under threat.
Said to feature a dramatically larger world, new weapon and armour upgrades, bigger and more challenging dungeons and a vast array of new enemies and bosses; Darksiders II looks to trump its predecesor in every area.
Darksiders II is set for release in 2012 on console and PC.
