Valve released an announcement today saying they’ll be co-publishing the upcoming action/RPG Dark Messiah of Might & Magic on Steam, their online broadband delivery system. Ubisoft will retain the rights for retail publishing.
Gabe Newell, President and Co-Founder of Valve, expressed his enthusiasm for the game. "I am a long-time fan of the Might & Magic franchise. Valve is delighted to have Dark Messiah of Might & Magic on Steam’s growing list of new releases for the holiday season. But, more importantly, I just can’t wait to play it."
Dark Messiah of Might & Magic is an action/RPG powered by Valve’s Source Engine, currently slated for an October 17 release. Arkane Studios developed the single player portion of the game, while Kuju Entertainment developed the multiplayer portion.
