So by now, Crysis has left a reasonably sized impression in the PC gaming world. Hot off its success, Crytek must be pretty happy with its sophomore title — but they’re not stopping there. In fact, Crytek is all set to begin work on Crysis 2.
InCrysis has the word from Steven Bender, lead animator and animation manager at Crytek, about the first details for Crysis 2.
"According to him, the developer’s attention will be even more focused on graphics. There will be numerous improvements regarding textures (especially facial textures) and 3D-animations. Their ambitious aim is to push the game’s visuals to an advanced level, that could be considered near photorealistic movie quality."
Surprise, surprise, Crysis 2 will continue to push the visual envelope! (There are some minor spoilers in the actual article, so be warned.)
